Every cowboy dreams of having the season that Quinton Parchman had in 2017. He dominated the world standings and had a strong lead over the pack coming into his first IFR qualification.
“Stephen Britnell needed a partner to finish the 2016 season with and he gave me a call. He had roped with my brother Kelsey, and they won world titles in ’05 & ’06. I knew partnering with him would be a good opportunity for me,” said Quinton.
“2017 was my first year to really rodeo hard and it was good to have a guy that knows what he’s doing roping behind me,” said Parchman. “He taught me how to enter and focus on winning.”
“Winning the gold buckle was a goal I had and it felt good to accomplish it. The experience has helped my mindset a lot for the future,” said Quinton. “I feel more confident and aggressive in my roping.”
“We went to a lot of good rodeos,” said Parchman. “I’ve always liked New Windsor, IL’s rodeo. South Bend, IN was good to me too, I won first and second there.”
“IFR49 is definitely on my radar. That’s one of my main goals for 2018,” said Quinton.
