Taking home the coveted 2024 IPRA World Champion title is Peach State cowboy Tanner Phipps of Dalton, Georgia. Entering IFR55 with a significant lead, Phipps continued his dominant run inside the Lazy E Arena, maintaining his top position and sealing the deal with another stellar performance. His efforts earned him his third consecutive IPRA world title—an achievement that solidifies his name among the greats of the sport. Phipps closed out the 2024 season with an impressive $68,212.42 in earnings.

Since joining the International Professional Rodeo Association in 2016, Tanner has built a career marked by focus, consistency, and grit. He now boasts back-to-back-to-back wins at IFR53, IFR54, and IFR55, proving that his championship success is far from luck—it's a result of a relentless work ethic and commitment to competing as a bareback rider and steer wrestler.

Away from the spotlight, Phipps is as grounded as he is driven. A proud graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Master’s in Agricultural Business and Risk Management. His academic achievements reflect his commitment not just to rodeo, but to the future of agriculture and the rural lifestyle he holds dear.

Despite the high-stakes nature of rodeo competition, Phipps remains most fulfilled by the time he spends on the road with his brother and close friends—traveling from one arena to the next, chasing dreams and building memories.

With three world titles to his name and momentum on his side, Phipps continues to be a force in the arena and a respected figure in the rodeo world. As fans look ahead to the next season, all eyes will be on this Georgia cowboy to see what chapter he writes next in his proven rodeo legacy.
